New Dimensions FCU announces new Executive Vice President & CFO

New Dimensions Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Jason Michaud to Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.

In this expanded leadership role, Michaud will continue to oversee the credit union’s financial strategy while working closely with the CEO to advance organizational priorities, strengthen enterprise risk management, and support long-term strategic growth.

Michaud brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to the position, including 15 years in executive roles within financial institutions and five years in state regulatory service. Over the past decade, he has played a key role in helping guide the credit union’s strategic direction, contributing to asset growth from $60 million to $230 million.

Thomas College/Central Maine Motors Partnering for On-site Business Training

WATERVILLE, Maine, February 2026 — Thomas College is proud to announce a new partnership with Central Maine Motors to deliver customized, on-site professional development and workforce training, marking the official launch of the College’s new Corporate Campus initiative.

In January, Thomas College’s Executive Director of Business Innovation and Corporate Campus, Nate Pelsma, delivered customer service training to 35 Central Maine Motors employees at the company’s facility. Maine Children's Home names new interim executive director

AYCC Names New CEO

Alfond Youth & Community Center Names Steven Scraggs Chief Executive Officer: to Begin February 1

Waterville, Maine – January 28, 2026 – The Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC) today announced that Steven Scraggs has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2026. Scraggs will lead AYCC’s mission to strengthen youth, families, and community programs and services that support health, belonging, and opportunity.

Additionally, the Board announced that Susan Scacchi has assumed the role of Board Chair. Susan, who serves as Executive Director of the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation, has been a committed board leader and brings extensive institutional knowledge and experience to the position.

“These leadership transitions reflect intentional planning and a shared vision for the AYCC’s future,” said Scacchi. “We are confident that Steven’s leadership, supported by strong board governance, will ensure continued stability, growth, and positive impact for the communities we serve.”

MaineGeneral Health Accepting Applications for 2026 Scholarship Program

MaineGeneral Health Scholarships Available

AUGUSTA, Maine – MaineGeneral Health is now accepting applications for its 2026 Health Scholarship Program.

Scholarships support the education of health care professionals in the Kennebec Valley and are available to individuals pursuing degrees in a variety of health-related disciplines. 

In 2025, MaineGeneral Health and individual sponsors awarded more than $45,700 in scholarships to 50 students in the Kennebec Valley. Scholarship recipients are pursuing degrees in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, sports medicine, social work and other health care careers. Scholarships generally range from $500 to $2,500.

SKILLS, Inc. receives United Way Impact Grant for Opportunities Driving School

SKILLS has received an Impact Grant from the Heart of Maine United Way to help fund its Opportunities Driving School! Originally funded and started with a Home and Community Based Services Innovation grant by the Office of Aging and Disability Services, the United Way Impact Grant allows SKILLS to continue operating the driving school while increasing access to a wider audience of potential drivers.

Opportunities Driving School is a one-of-a-kind driver instruction program designed for those who want or need more support in the process of gaining independence on the road. With instructors who are Direct Support Professionals and a state-of-the-art driving simulator, participants get driving practice and instruction in a safe environment while building confidence. After a driver readiness screening, drivers age 18 and older receive one-on-one support to prepare for their permit as well as road tests.
